Location & Pitch
Open all year round, the Steinplatte campsite, nestled in the impressive Tyrolean mountain landscape in Waidring, offers an ideal holiday experience thanks to the clear mountain air and warm Tyrolean hospitality. The wide range of outdoor activities on offer - both in summer and winter - contribute to a fantastic camping holiday. Ski buses are available right outside the door.
At the foot of the Waidringer Steinplatte and the Loferer Steinberge mountains, the campsite offers around 120 tourist pitches (60m2 to 80m2) with connections for electricity, TV and gas. Guests can also choose from four holiday flats, which are part of the campsite's rental properties.
Sanitary facilities
Cleanliness and hygiene are key priorities in all sanitary facilities at Camping Steinplatte. The sanitary buildings were recently renovated with great care and attention to detail. They offer separate shower areas for men and women, WC facilities, children's bathtubs, nappy-changing areas, dressing tables and a shower for dogs.
In addition, the facilities are well equipped to meet the needs of all guests with 20 dishwashing sinks, two washing machines, two tumble dryers and a chemical toilet sink.
Catering Service
Located directly on the campsite, the "Camping Stüberl" offers its guests freshly prepared dishes, which can be enjoyed both in the cosy restaurant and on the sunny terrace. The menu is characterised by a variety of diverse and unusual dishes, which are prepared using primarily regional products.
There is also a camping shop on site, where fresh pastries, drinks, dairy products and specific camping utensils are available daily. During the high season, the shop is also open on Sundays to offer guests a comprehensive service.
Leisure time
Both in summer and winter, the Pillerseetal offers a wide range of leisure activities for sports enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation. The region is known for its numerous swimming lakes and over 800 kilometres of cycle and mountain bike routes. There are also numerous hiking tours suitable for all ages and levels of difficulty. Attractions such as "Timoks Alm" in Fieberbrunn, the "Triassic Park" in Waidring and the "Familienland" adventure park in St. Jakob in Haus offer exciting adventure trails.
In the winter months, activities such as skiing, cross-country skiing, curling and winter hiking ensure that every day is full of variety.
